In San Antonio, there are many different Parks For Kids that are designed purposely for families with kids. Being a father whose kids are keen on outdoor activities, I’ve visited some of the best parks in the neighborhood and today, I’d like to give you a few of these awesome places to check out. From ever-calm wilderness tracks to active playgrounds, San Antonio has this.

Brackenridge Park

Overview

Brackenridge Park, recently placed on the banks of the San Antonio River, is a historic site that boasts a lot of activities that families can have fun in. This park is not only beautiful with its nature trails and picnic areas as such but also leads to realization of the one’s hobby like this zoo where they can create various shapes out of it.

My Review

As a father, with a beautiful park around the corner, Brackenridge Park located to us is where I have spent many memorable times with my kids. The lush parkland accommodates spaces for children to take their time to run and play, and beneath the canopies stands a picnic place for the occasions when families and friends may assemble. This is my once certain spot for my little ones that triggers interest by presenting all kinds of animals and educating them on conservation. The miniature train ride is a ride that is always loved by the park visitors the miniature train takes you through a little part of the park.

My Review

How great it feels to go to the Yanaguana Garden and experience the transforming power of a playground of fairylands. Besides some movie works on unconventional climbing structures and swings of my kids which raise their imagination and move us for a long time. The enormous chessboard attracts an older crowd whilst the splash pad cools kids down from viciously hot Texas temperatures. The artwork scattered around the park is a feature that accentuates its attraction and it can be the background or subject of a family’s picture-taking activity.

  1. Bring Swimsuits: Don’t forget to pack swimsuits and towels for little kids, allowing them to fully enjoy the splash pad.
  2. Plan for Crowds: Among the reasons that Yanaguana Garden is very popular, the Garden gets overcrowded each weekend and holiday.

My Review

We belong to a family that loves to be at Nani Falcone Community Park, and our excitement is all due to its multifaceted range of options. Kid’s playgrounds are clean and of the kids’ different ages. These age-based playgrounds have specially designed equipment to provide a safe environment for children to enjoy. The center of attraction of the trail, is, of course, the 1-mile track, the very reason for which the trail exists, an excellent spot for a leisure walk or a ride on your bicycle, looking all over the green plants in the area. Not only does this make the game more accessible but also adds an extra element of excitement to it wherein kids and adults can all enjoy the game.

My Review

My close-knit family and I were so mesmerized by the freshness and charm of the Wilderness Park that we knew we wanted to be next to it every time we could. These great trails led us to get lost on a day full of dense forests, scenery meadows, and tranquil streams. The peak of the day for my children was the fishing pond exactly right there where angled their lines trying to get just a glance of any aquatic species. And, it provided a bright and cooling haven from the scorching rays on warm summer days, too.

My Review

Our family ate on the grass near the cool and sheltering giants of McAllister Park. We felt the calming calm of this picnic location. The neatly maintained playground provided a corner for the little ones where the fun time did not end, whilst the dog zone let our united dog play freely. We went on a relaxed walk on the streamlined trails; we admired the lush nature.

My Review

We spent the greatest part of the day in Woodlawn Park and the experience was simply awesome. the huge yard was my kids’ favorite part of the day and every other minute of rest by the pool was a welcomed relief from the summer heat in Texas. Strolling on the walking trail immersed me in the wonderful surroundings of nature and got me to relax and experience nature first hand.

San Pedro Park

Overview

My Review

The calmness of San Pedro Park was exactly what I needed to escape from the crowded and exploitative character of city life. The carousel memory became my favorite part of our excursion; it brought up the feelings of nostalgia between children and the elderly ones at the same time.
